As dificuldades presentes nesse processo implicam na exist\u00eancia de poucas pesquisas de classifica\u00e7\u00e3o vegetal utilizando m\u00e9todos matem\u00e1ticos e computacionais. Desta forma, visando contribuir com as t\u00e9cnicas de taxonomia manuais j\u00e1 desenvolvidas, esse estudo apresenta uma nova metodologia computacional de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de esp\u00e9cies vegetais por meio da an\u00e1lise da textura foliar. O m\u00e9todo, chamado de Fractal Multi-N\u00edveis, \u00e9 baseado no c\u00e1lculo da dimens\u00e3o fractal de imagens bin\u00e1rias geradas a partir da textura. Os excelentes resultados obtidos demonstram como os m\u00e9todos computacionais de an\u00e1lise de imagens, em especial an\u00e1lise de textura, podem contribuir facilitando e agilizando a tarefa de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de esp\u00e9cies vegetais.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palavras-chave:<\/strong> Dimens\u00e3o Fractal;
